Description

The product of a unique partnership between the University of Toronto's Professor Rebecca Woods and the experimental performance company Good Old Neon (goodoldneon.ca), "The Last Mammoth" (title subject to change) is a 50 minute theatrical performance for children six and up. Using puppetry, song, and gesture, "The Last Mammoth" uses the figure of a woolly mammoth to introduce the concept of extinction in the context of climate change to young audiences, including the asymmetries of history and social justice it entails.

The show is directed by Good Old Neon co-Artistic Director Nicole Wilson, and features performances by Sebastian Biasucci, Hayden Finkelshtain, Gabbi Kosmidis Priscila Paes, and Iza Rincon, and dramaturgy by co-Artistic Director and IHPST Phd. Candidate Alexander Offord. Stage management by Hazel Moore.

If you are interested in attending, please email info@goodoldneon.ca to register. There will be a presentation at 10:30AM and at 1:30PM on September 1st. This event is in person.
