Biography
I am currently a PhD candidate at the IHPST. Before coming to Toronto I did my BA in philosophy and literature and my MA in history and philosophy of science and I taught for several years in different places in my country, Colombia.
My academic interests are the history of astronomy and cosmology, early modern science, the scientific revolution, science and religion and general philosophy of science.
My current research is on when, how and why astrology was marginalized from astronomy and mainstream natural philosophy, as well as on the role Copernicanism and the “new science” had in that split, with a focus on early modern England.
