Biography

I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2020. I am a philosopher working mainly at the intersection of biology and cognitive science. I am mainly interested in the ways in which the sciences of life and the sciences of mind inform (and sometimes mislead) each other. My research expertise is on philosophical issues around embodied cognition and theories of living organisms that connect to embodied cognition.

I am also quite deeply into thinking about how cognitive science influences society, and vice versa, for better and worse. More broadly, I am thinking through the many connections between science and wider social issues, and how this may unfold in the near and distant future.
